ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System-Guidance on the Documentation Requirements Deals with the requirements that organizations wish to meet the standard;allows organization flexibility in the way it chooses to document its quality management system (QMS).

ANSI Z535.6 Product Safety Information in Product Manuals The standard defines collateral materials as printed information that accompanies a product (e.g. product manuals, instructions and other materials containing safety messages).
Directive 85/374/EEC Defective products: liability It establishes the principle of liability without fault applicable to European producers.
ISO 20607 Safety of machinery — Instruc­tion hand­book The standard provides guidelines for the development of documentation for electromechanical machines and installations.
